Dear Aspirator,
We welcome to a very new dimension of development towards enriched Bangladesh where
your dreams will come true. Your generation will no longer be driven into finding
out a better place outside here. Your body, mind and soul will be enchanted with
their fullest contentment forever!
What is the fact inside such inspiration? Is it just a dream only or reality? Yes it
is a down to earth reality. After achieving our 2nd and final independence on the
5th August 2024, in the midst of sacrificing thousands of invaluable lives and
intolerable injuries of our beloved students-publics-labours-solders-executives, we
are now embracing a fortunate edge of rebounding Bangladesh. It's an unbelievably
rare opportunity to be found once in centuries. We must be able to unite the whole
nation for some fundamental but significant developments that will pave the
foundation for our future development. Considering the scope and limitations of our
team, projecting a perspective from the entrepreneurial side, we will always be
trying to surface the fundamental issues those are always been a long overdue for
the entire nation. We would like to portrait the issues in a very brief description
below :
Its very much possible to evaluate new Residential and Commercial Townships, International Franchises with star rated Hotels & Resorts, world-class Amusements and Recreation Centres, Under-water World and Theme Parks and many more fantastic structural and ecological developments through reclamation of the Shallow sea zones in the Bay of Bengal. This reclamation process will be located few kilometers down-stream from the southern part of Bangladesh touching Kolkata. There will be private/public airports for domestic and international flights and high-speed commuter trains connecting to Dhaka within just 2 hours reachability. Parallel to the coast-line of the southern part of Bangladesh, there will be arterial Boulevards and avenues with adequate Bridges and Switch Gates to train the sea and to control the salinity of the water in the upstream buffer zones and also in the southern hemispare agricultural land.
We should not be tired of thinking that 'can anybody afford to this massive developmental cost?' Yes it is, there will be several hundred Hybrid-Powered (consists of solar and wind Turbines for running energy) Dredger pumps are used to dredge the shallow sea and reclaim the desired area. It is even suggested by the environmentalists that being the world's most active Delta, our rivers and sea beds should be dredged and trained in a routine basis every year. Because long since our Delta has been blessed with huge sediments settling into its river and sea beds which has made the average dept of water of the Shallow sea within 20 metres. Therefore sand filled reclamation of approximately 30 metres across the Shallow sea involves not more than BDT 2.50 Crore per acre (assessment made as of 31st Dec 2020 costing) which is worthy enough to start commercial projects. Especially high-rise super-structures will be more feasible and safe there because of its passive earth-quake zoning criterion. Luxurious developments and exotic resorts can never be built without attachment of sea which naturally stretches towards horizon. Having an elite weather southern part of Bangladesh from Hiron point to Saint Martin can be developed and built more beautifully than that of Miami of USA. There are concept level survey and feasibility studies have been carrying on by Urbanism & Township Research Centre (UTRC) since 2009 with US and European collaborations.
It's an obvious fact that Bangladesh will only survive if and
only if its rivers, canals, wetlands and water bodies are kept and maintained alive.
One of the main natural resources of Bangladesh is 'Sediments' which are dragged
into Bangladesh bounteously with the water flows particularly in the rainy season
from its upstream locations attached to Himalayas. The volume is quite huge and part
of the sediments use to settle into the river basin and remaining flows down towards
the sea. This scenario has made our rivers, canals, wet-lands and water bodies very
much active and they often get filled-up, plugged or discoursed in various ways.
Therefore, we must require a long-focused fundamental planning and engineering
procedure to manage and maintain our rivers, canals, wet-lands and water bodies into
their natural course. Rivers, canals, wet-land and water bodies are should never
been treated as a limitation or burden for us, rather they are the most precious
assets and earning sources of the enemas population. The fact has never been
revealed that the estimated revenue earnings from the systematically planned and
appropriate management and maintenance of our rivers, canals, wet-lands and water
bodies can contribute more than 50% of our national budget every year.
The hill tracts region mostly located in the Chittagong and Sylhet divisions of Bangladesh is significantly consists of mild terrain with non-rock earthly components. There are huge trees and plants exist everywhere and arability of those mountainous lands is more than 95%. There are few mineral resources available in some areas part of which is still unexplored. Almost the entire hilly areas of Bangladesh are hugely significant for new urban development accommodating the aboriginal population and the upscale citizens of this country. There must be appropriate zoning plan over the hill tracts region (there is no survey map over the hill tracts areas as of today) to ensure vibrant and enhanced living standards for the aboriginal population in their specifically chosen areas and at the same time, there shall be provisions for stunning modern townships, satellite model towns, resorts and recreational zones, condominiums, amusement and theme parks, hotels and community facilities in other areas which will ultimately contributing to the national economy.
Bengali speaking population in the world is now more 350 million and it is going to be the fourth largest language in the globe. Still we could not have been able to introduce any fundamentally streamlined and general standard curriculum and education system for our population. There are so many different education streams and processes which are self-contradictory to themselves. Recognizing separate values and ideologies of different religion, we must sort out common features of general education, social developments and technologies. No religion, cast, sect or faith discourages us to achieve appropriate and modern education. Technologically advanced knowledge to some extent coincide with religious thoughts and beliefs and drives our souls into furthermore truth and righteous innovations. Therefore, we should put all our endeavours to form and build a fifth-generation education system that that would be able to compete the European and American curriculum.
There is a huge scarcity in the supply and availability of adequate housing and settlement solution for the mid income group of Bangladesh. This segment comprises of almost one fifth or 342 million out of the total population. They used to live in down-trodden condition in the society although contributing with significant efforts to the national development. Only a small part of this population group can be manage to have a minimum housing or settlement facilities if he or she is fortunate or become blessed with government and/or political favour. Private sector housing and settlement facilities are booming in the past years but still most of them are used to run after money and more likely to serve the rich segment of the society or people with ill-gotten money. Whereas there are governmental policies in the developed countries for mandatory construction of housing and settlement facilities which bounds the developers to construct low-cost housing and settlement facilities upto 10% to 15% of their turn over properties. We must adopt and incorporate appropriate means and measures to diffuse the rising pressure of housing and settlement demands of our mid income population and thus protect our cultivable land stocks.
Bangladesh consists of mostly flat and fertile lands where plenty of crops and vegetables grow round the year. Very often there is huge production of certain food staffs in some locations which are not properly taken up by the mainstream supply chain mechanism. As a result of such mismanagement, disorder and bad practices in our existing supply chain mechanism huge volume of food staffs either become abandoned, rotten or under utilised every year. The scenario is almost same in the areas of our neighboring countries and states. Therefore, we must be capable in establishing a multi-platform, multi-dimensional supply chain management to enhance the capacity and efficiency of the equitable distribution of our agricultural food-grains, crops, fruits and vegetables, fishery, dairy, veterinary products grows all around the country and beyond.
Our country is located in the pivotal point considering the context of geo-political landscape. This country can be transformed into a global hub in many subjects and dimensions. Only the thing is required the vision, particularly the vision of its forefront leaders. Keeping pace with the fast moving world, our new generation has already shown us how the goal can be achieved with iron-firm commitments and devotion. If our leaders wish to plan and chock out our 50 years, 100 years 500 years goals and forward advancement target, Bangladesh will never miss the track of its future success in the coming years and decades. Therefore, we should require to establish world-class Media platforms and Studios, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cyber technological hubs for ensuring upper-hand information and communication mobility & connectivity in pace with the modern civilization.
Cooperation and collaboration with some international expert organizations, professional bodies, departmental experts and consultants of home and abroad have already been engaged in the above mentioned issues in different ways with PinkCity & ParkCity Group since 2008. Some of the leading organizations and professional experts like International New Town Institute of Netherlands, Kevin D. Gray Consulting of USA, Urbanism & Township Research Centre, Dhaka, Bangladesh etc have already been taking efforts to break-through the above mentioned initiatives since last few many years.
>We would like to expect that more deserving organizations, experts and individuals will come forward to support these visionary projects for paving a bit more comfort for our new generations. We feel honored to take such program named ‘Vision-2040 Aspiration Program’ to inspire our existing members and those who are interested to join with us in this nation-building initiative.
We want to believe that by the grace of Almighty, we will be able to bring forth our Bangladesh into another dimension and will also be able to pave our foot-prints on the newly evaluated landscape in the northern part of Bay of Bengal before reaching 2040.
May Almighty accepts our efforts and desire.
Thanking you.
